This is more of a realization than a tip, but it’s always good to know. :) One of the reasons why I love to thrift, and which I only discovered today, is that it’s really all about style. When you shop at the mall and/or in retail stores, you’re constantly being distracted by size and price. It has come to my full attention, that when you thrift, sizes and high prices are the least of your worries.
Thrifting really gives you the opportunity to discover your own personal style and allows you to use your imagination. Why do I say that? Normally, thrift stores don’t carry new trendy seasonal styles. They’re always vintage. For every piece of item you find, you use your imagination by imagining how you’d pair that item with something you already own. Prices may vary, but when you’re looking around, style always catches your attention first, so go with your instincts.
